d3 nationals
Yes I was there, and Wis Lacrosse and NC both have some solid jumpers. NC has a pretty good coach, but most of there jumpers are small and really really fast. THey were all tall and fast down the run way which led to a great invert and push off. When the NC kid made 16 11 it was amazing cause everyone was expecting lacross to go 1,2
Next year it will be a even better competition with three schools having more than half the field.

Re: d3 nationals
does anyone know what went on with the girls??? rumor has it, one of the judges wrongly declared Jen Vandermeer from Hope the winner. was anyone there that knew what went on? was it just one judge that just doesnt know the rules or was there more?

i believe the ruling is, after both vaulters are at, look at the last cleared heigh. who ever has fewer misses at this height places heigher. if they are the same, then it goes to total misses

Apparently there was. This is from the meet website:
Pole Vault - Stephanie Barnes - University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire - 12-2.25/3.72m
“I am very, very excited. It’s overwhelming to be a National Champion. At first I thought that it was over and I was really upset and just bawling. Then I heard about the jump off and just thought that I had a second chance to go get it. It was my first attempt in the jump off and I knew that it would be close with the other two girls, but I was very excited about the win.â€Â

Fight the good fight: It's nice to be great but it's far greater to be nice.
