Ibuprofen

Unread postby rainbowgirl28 » Thu Sep 12, 2002 7:34 pm

If you are taking ibuprofen for a long time, for injuries or whatever, you should talk to your doctor about possibly taking something easier on your stomach.

I have been taking ibuprofen off and on for the past couple years. I just went to the doctor today, and I might have an ulcer because of it. :dazed:

Oh yeah and if your stomach hurts like crazy every time it is empty... that's not normal :P Yeah it took me awhile to realize something was wrong. :o

I wouldn't stress about it unless your stomach has been bothering you. You're not really training right now anyway, so see if you can't take a break from it.

Haha well it's not like I was taking it as a recreational drug. I went to the sports med doctor about once a year for various injuries, and 3 out of 4 times he told me to take 3 ibuprofen 3 times a day. :P

You can get Tylenol with codeine over the counter in Canada. But seeing as codeine is a narcotic I don't think that would be a better choice than ibuprofen :P I'd guess it would be a banned substance as well, although I don't know that for sure.
