13'6 skypole to 14'7 Spirit
ok guys i dont know if i made a mistake here but here goes
anyway i was blowing way through the pit with the skypole and it was not throwing me anywhere:( so i ordered a new 14'7 spirit....... practiced a lil today couldnt get quite through bend was half there worked for about 30 minutes total jumping....... so did i make a mistake going longer? do i just need to give it time and practice a lil more just to break it in.? please give tips on what i need to do

Get a better plant and borrow some poles that are in between.
There aren't any shortcuts in pole vaulting. You don't magically jump higher by grabbing a bigger pole, you have to earn it.
