Vault Height to Long Jump Distance

yup... very similar in the mechanics of the take-off, just adding heat down the runway for long jump

hello

tully and bell jumped 21-7ish from 6 steps....

that was my reference for 18/19 footers...

we worked on the penultimate with a "stubby" pole so it was a natural to see have far they could jump from there, without the stubby of course..

ps......... their approach for 6 steps was 41/42 feet

LJ and Pole Vault

Let me throw this in from Andjei:
A good HS vaulter (4 years into training) should be able to:

LJ 22'
Hold 14'8"
Pole size = body weight + 20 lbs
Over grip at 24"
Plus a few other measures too.

So training should be geared for these performances their senior year.

i hate you. lucky i don't have arches or whatever makes me not able to jump... And i worked at it with the jumps coach. lol
