you vault about as high as i do, and u have the same problem.

when you take off you kind of get sucked into the pole. you need to hit it had and stay down, you're swinged to early. let find a video to show u, it's hard for me to explain.

start a 1:20 the drive seing is the most important thing but the next phase would be good to watch too.

you could definitely improve on your run form. try to hold the pole higher and not pump it as much. also (although it looks like you were under) you could hit the plant a little harder and drive more with your chest.
Good luck

A little more separation for a whole lot longer would be good. Get that drive knee UP and that trail leg DOWN!

Eh, I don't think "swinging too early" is the proper way to phrase. This has been discussed before, but I think the conclusion of that discussion was that you should swing immediately. There is no "holding C position" or "staying down". I could be misinterpreting what you're trying to say, or maybe I'm wrong altogether. But anyway, that's at least what I think.

what he was trying to say was i should push upward with my hands more, I tend to collapse, and just kind of hang on to the pole instead of jumping up with the pole.

You have no drive knee. Hit that take off and get that drive knee up, really get into a split position before you swing. That should solve at lot of problems.

You need to learn how to properly carry a pole first.

Your top hand should be on your hip and your left elbow below the pole with its weight on top of the wrist. Without a good pole carry, you will not be able to run tall and get in proper position to plant and take off properly.

Until you fix this, everything else is a moot point.
