UNI at the Worlds in Osaka!

Unread postby andrej » Sat Jun 23, 2007 2:55 am

Northern Iowa has two vaulters going to Osaka this year - Jake Pauli; and me (Andre Poljanec), representing Slovenia! Did that ever happen before?

Huffman and Manson may have been on a WC team together.

Did Mack ever make a WC team when Lojo had his run?

I could be mistaken.... but I think LoJo and Mack were both on the 2001 team at the WCs in Edmonton. Wasn't it Lawrence Johnson, Tim Mack, and Nick Hysong?

I think it may have been Buller on that team?

These are the USA Championship results from 2001. KLocke... you're halfway right. Buller was technically the "alternate". But, Lojo suffered a leg injury and didn't compete. So, Buller was the guy who actually jumped at the WCs in Edmonton. There we go. Puzzle solved.

Still a great accomplishment for UNI. Congrats fellas.
