I've been taking photographs of Track and Field for over ten years now and I find them quite compelling. What do you find is wrong with these two images?

You can get the same shot, with the same expressions, a few frames earlier when the vaulter's legs are still beneath them!!! Everything looks the same except it makes the vaulter look like they are in a more powerful position and you dont get a close up of a crotch. Way better shot for both people!

No, actually you can't get the same shot when the legs are down. Legs up means the pole is bending more and looks cooler.

It doesn't appear that the paper was trying demean women at all. That photo is appart of the sport, and people need to stop being angy about it. Mens pole vault has the same shots (Tim Mack above).

Nudity and Sexuality have been portrayed by the media to the point that people think that they are the same thing. However the reality is that Nudity is not sexuality, although you can see between her legs, she is not doin anything sexual. That is appart of her uniform.
