this meet was huge! i guess only like 20 people signed up to jump ahead of time and the day of the meet 40 people showed up. they ran the meet high bar low bar and it took forever. i was there for 8 hours...i'm not even exaggerating : ( I warmed up 3 times lol needless to say it wasnt my best performance. it was fun to be able to watch a lot of other people jump tho.

Vaultorama Oops! Vaultathon

Unread postby SNS » Wed Jan 10, 2007 8:52 pm

Yes, the vaultorama was really a vaultathon. Myself and another coach worked for 11 hours that day. 8 vaulters pre-registered, and 45 showed up. Pretty amazing turn out. The Chicagoland area has a tremendous number of vaulters, and the quality of vaulters are getting better every year. Next year we will run two pits and/or break things up into several different flights, running at specific times. In an attempt to make vaulting more accessible and fun to all ability levels, I'm afraid we've created an accessible and fun "monster". I guess a good problem to have.
