Pole Series

Unread postby rainbowgirl28 » Mon Jun 16, 2003 6:32 pm

I was going to ask for a 13'145 pole for my birthday... but I just sat down and looked at all the flex numbers and I am wondering if it is worth it...

Here are the poles I have
13'130 Spirit 23.9
13'135 Spirit 22.4
13'140 Spirit 21.5
13'150 Spirit 20.2

That's not much of a bigger jump than the previous poles... and I am staying at 5 lefts until I clear 11'4" in a meet or practice... so I am only on the 130 or 135 right now anyway.

Should I save my birthday wish for something else?

Right now, from 5 lefts, I am gripping way down... like 11'9" to 12'1 on the 130 and 135. I'd like to be in 12'3-12'6" range when I go back a left.

Have you ever jumped the 150?? If it always beats you up and the 140 rolls real nice then.............yes you need a transition pole. If not then get the octodog and figure out what buns you put that thing on.

I've never touched it. I had the 130 and 135 before, bought the 140 in GA and brought it home with me. The 150 was given to my high school/me by a friend along with the 135.

When I was at Georgia, I hit our 145 once at a practice and once at a meet (from 7 lefts) and it was fine. But I don't know what the flex numbers are on the ones at there.

It would be easier to figure out if I was at my full run now, but I am not ready to go back. Maybe I should find someone to jump on both and tell me if they feel very different :P

I have the same series as you at school, with the 13-145. Im not sure of the flex on any of them, but there is a difference between the 140, and the 145. The 145 was actually my favorite pole, and a good transition to get onto the 150. I found the difference between the 140 and the 150 to be quite a bit, but im not sure how much of it was mental for me.
