Track and Field to Host Coaches Clinic

WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita State track and field program, winners of five-straight women's Missouri Valley Conference championships, will be conduting its 2007 Coaches Clinic hosted by A.T.G. Sports on Jan. 6, 2007.
The clinic will begin 9 a.m., at the Heskett Center on the WSU campus and will consist of three sessions as well as two demonstration periods with a lunch provided by WSU at the All-Americans Club at Eck Stadium.
The clinic will be conducted by the Wichita State staff, which includes head coach Steve Rainbolt, distance coach Marc Burns, throws coach John Hetzendorf, pole vault coach Pat Wilson, sprints/hurdles coach John Wise and jumps coach Heidi Yost, as well as two guest speakers who will be named at a later date. Bill Faflick from the KSHSAA will be holding a rules interpretation meeting towards the end of the clinic.

What happened to their previous pole vault coach? Wichita State was the biggest NCAA program I can think of that had a female vault coach, and she had a good year last year with Jackie Brown getting all-american.

To answer my own question, she is coaching at Oregon now

University of Minnesota has a female vault coach. She is a good friend of mine! Watch out for the young talent coming up...
