I think that even swimming is off limits. :(

How do you think an upright bike would be?

Depends on how your feet feel in it, I suppose. I think you would have to keep the resistance really low.

If it hurts, don't do it!

Good deal...I'll try that with low resistance. I just don't think that I can go without some type of aerobic activity for over 3 months :dazed:

Thank you, Hunter...they certainly do.

Just make sure you are at a level where you feel NO pain. Doing nothing for 3 months definitely beats not getting better in 3 months.

yes, mother :P

No, really, I'll be extremely careful with all of this. I have my last chance on the line and I would like to take it if I can.

Hey i a had two stress fractures on my third L and i took six months off. i was able to compete during the summer. I went to the Dr and got x rays
two weeks ago 8 months after i was diagnosed and the fractures are still there. unless you want surgery there is really nothing they can do to fix the fractures you can just hope to be A symptomatic which means you have no pain at all but they will always be there they just said to be careful and to make sure that you keep the muscles in your lumbar strong by doing planks and diffrent types of abs to make sure the muscles are taking the shock instead of the bone... good luck i have been there so i know how you feel. :crying:

Thats not true... I had two stress fractures in L4 and I am completely healed without surgery. It only takes a little patience and some smarts. No offense, not everyone is the same, but there are good alternatives to surgery.
