Question on the AAU Junior Olympics

i was just wondering what the age groups were for this and if u have to be able to make a certain height or whatever? any information like this would really help because this summer i was thinkin about jumping in a meet or two.

youth- '89-'90
intermediate- '87-'88
young men/women- '85-'86 or you cant be over either 18 or 19 by the time of the last day of the JO's

In AAU and USATF Jr. Olympics you have to go through a qualifying process...first finish in the top either 3 or 4 at state and then regionals before you can go to nationals. No certain qualifying height...just finish well in your state and regionals. :D

wait, so i qualify just by finishing 2nd at states? thats cool =) when and where are these meets?

No not your state track meet. The AAU state or whatever meet. Go to http://www.dyestat.com/ they usually post a link somewhere to the AAU site.

That's right..to clarify...each state or association has a AAU and USATF State meet and Regional meet. The sites are usatf.org and aausports.org.

I am a 15 year old girl pole vaulter from Minnesota and i am doing the AAU thing this year. I had done the USATF things in tthe past but the dates don't work out this time, but it's really fun!
Pole vault is the best!!!!!!!
