Someone please help

Unread postby Marine47 » Sun Jul 02, 2006 9:07 am

Hello,

My name is Will. I am a U.S. Marine currently deployed in Iraq. I was thinking the other day about hobbies, or the lack of. I am good at my job, but i have no hobbies. I do on the other love Pole Vaulting, but have not done so since high school. In high school i only jumped my senior year, and my best was a mear 12', but i can't think of any other sport i've done that was better than vaulting. I need to know if there is any way to get back into the sport perhaps when i return home to the states. A contact or something back in North Carolina where i am stationed, or a referrel to someone who can help.

Thank you,
Will

If your stationed in fort brag then be prepared to travel, on account of polevaulting being illegal in comberlin county.

I assume he means that the county high schools or school district does not sponsor the event. It's not illegal, but if none of the high schools have it and there are no colleges with it nearby, it might be difficult to find a pit.
