Step Competition

Unread postby polevaultninja » Sat May 10, 2003 2:02 pm

I was talking to Jason Hentz from Bellingham high the other day, and we were thinking about how cool it would be to have records for different steps. like from a 4 step i've gotten 15' from a 5 15'6' and from a 7 16' i was just curious to see what other records are! :D

in high school i jumped 14'6 from 4 lefts and 15'3 from 5.

my latest pr is 16'8.75" from 6 lefts but if practice jumps counted then it'd be a lot higher. oh well.

Let's see... in meets I have jumped...

3 Lefts - 9'3" (9'10" in practice)
4 Lefts - 10'3" (10'6" in practice)
5 Lefts - 10 feet? I don't like 5 lefts very much
6 Lefts - 11 feet
7 Lefts - 10'6.25

Hmm still lots of room for improvement!

3 steps 13'
5 steps 14'6"
6 steps 15'
...and once at home
5 steps 15'9" (on a much bigger pole than at EB's)
