the mean thing to do would be to email that pic to her coach
(i would never do something that mean, but it would be kind of funny if a coach saw that, even better if she performed poorly in this meet, and forever be an example in a coaching story about why not to talk on your phone during competition)

Every championship meet I have ever been to has STRICT rules about NO CELL PHONES in the competition area, even after the competition.

yep, MP3 players as well i believe. if people never plan to be in a champoinship meet, then i guess dont worry about those things, really, how many distractions do some of these kids need when vaulting??

Tori, the FSU vaulter, was talking on the cell AFTER the women's competition, and the vaulters were gathering their poles and taking them away. At this point, there were no officials at the venue, the competition was over, and the cell phone was perfectly legal.
