Do masters vaulters have to abide by the min. max. standard settings as do high school vaulters? Where can I link to USTF rules on line? Thanks. Kerry

No, masters rules are different. I don't think they provide the rules online. (They want to sell you a new book each year.) In 2004, the USATF rules allowed the standards to be placed from 0 to 80cm back from the top edge of the box stopboard. Since there are no exceptions in the masters area of the USATF rules book, this would apply to masters also.

If anyone has more current info, please post.

The USATF rules can be found at

http://www.usatf.org/about/rules/2006/

These rules apply to masters unless specifically stated otherwise in the masters' section. Since there is no exception in the masters' section, Rule 183 of the rules of competition referring to standard placement applies to all competitors.

Thank you nambi. That is great to know about.

(I apologize for my nasty comment about USATF just wanting to sell books. :o )
