Turning

Unread postby ladyvolspvcoach » Sat Jul 23, 2005 12:09 pm

"turning" is not something that you do in the vault. It is something that happens as you use your arms correctly. Your body will naturally"turn" as you pull past your grip. Look carefully at some of the elite vaulters' videos. You will see where their bodies are before, during and as a result of their use of their arms.

pulling through the pole is what makes you turn, however, if u consicously think about putting your right leg over your left (right handed vaulters) this will also help you to turn.
wether you think you can or think you can't, either way you'll be right
