Isinbayeva skips a centimeter

Unread postby mikepv1 » Sun Jul 17, 2005 5:44 am

Parents, send your children out of the room...

4.93-4.95
Oh no! She goin' crazeh!

She'd better slow down with all this outta control behavior. The last thing this sport needs is someone who raises a record by more than one centimeter. That's far too risqué and controversial. Any resistance to the status quo must be stomped out immediately. Damn crazy radicals.

I have illustrated the intricate relationship between raising records by more than one centimeter and the repercussions that follow with the complex algorithm below. After looking at it, you will understand beyond any sane, reasonable doubt that records should never be raised by more than one centimeter.

1cm < the devil

There, it has been conclusively proven that you should never raise a record by more than one centimeter. If you do, you'll go blind and then burst into flames.

I have some questions:

1. What pole was she on? Make, length, weight, flex?
2. How high did she hold (or how far from the top of the pole)?
3. What's her effective push-off when she makes 5 meters? Is she the best at that? (duh!)
4. What was Bubka's best push-off? Was he the best? (duh!)

Who has the inside scoop here?

I know that she jumps on UCS Spirits, I think it is a 15'1" or 15'7" pole, not sure which one.
