Beach vault... literally
I haven't tried it yet, and am wondering if the pole would slip out when planted into the sand in the water of a pond/lake? I know it doesn't slip if you jump off a dock. But just running on the beach then planting??? Anybody know? Thanks.

There used to be a great pv website called "Achtung, Stabhochsprung!" which had an entire section dedicated to French vaulting. There were some photos of some French guys vaulting in some dunes on a beach, just planting into the sand and bending some really small looking training poles.

on neo vault theres a video of a guy, Pat Manson, where he runs off the dock and plants the pole into the water, bends it, rocks back and then pushes off and lands in the water. it looks like so much fun, im going to giver a try at my own beach. go here to check it out, looks sweeeeet.
