When your injured

Unread postby mdloves2run » Sun Jun 26, 2005 8:44 pm

Hey everyone, I have injured my hip. (Actually, the doctor thinks it might be my I.T. band) And so i can't vault very well because it hurts to run. Does anybody have any drills i can do that doesn't require much jumping or running? Like stuff in the air? What do you all do when you are hurt to stay in shape for vaulting?

for me with vaulting, its not so much a matter of staying in shape as it is technique. I treat times of injury as an excellent opporunity to practice my technique. I usually just grab a peice of PVC pipe and sit there practicing my plant. If you do that a lot on the counch, and theyre perfect plants, you will have a perfect plant running down the runway. Good ol' Muscle Memory. :P
