I predict that whoever wins the men's competition won't get all the credit they deserve.
this is a valid statement, and i agree with it 100%. cus skipper and yoo are out the field isnt what it should be, BS, the field is just as good even if they are out, go get em guys and show em whats up

OK, this is for anyone who is thinking that the winner should have an asterisk next to it because Kim and Skipper NH'd:
First of all, THEY NO HEIGHTED. They didnt get the job done, and other people DID. There was no outside force here that was working against the favorites to allow someone else to win a championship. I thnk the guys are great, but THEY DIDNT COME THROUGH WHEN THEY NEEDED TO. PERIOD.
Second of all, the quality of the NCAA pole vault is amazing when you can lose a bunch of the top vaulters and still have a field stacked with a handful of 18 footers, therefore, the winner will be very deserving.
Finally, aren't the BYU kids like 30 years old or something like that? I understand the whole Mormon mision thing, but competing with guys alot younger is a little bit of an advantage...

powell was born in 1980
when you consider brian hunter (who won NCAAs a few years back) was born in 1979, ran out of eligibility in 2002 (even with a redshirt year), which soon will be 3 who seasons ago.
it does seem a bit ridiculous that powel (who has another year to go), will be a few months shy of 27 years old when hes out of time.
oh well, reguardless everyone better bring their A game, cuz who knows what will happen next
