Could Roth take US HS Record?

Looking at the stats of year by year improvements, do you think Scott Roth could take the national high school record? For those of you who need to remember, here is Tommy's year by year improvements:

7th grade - 14'6"
8th grade - 15'6"
9th grade - 16'
10th grade - 16'10
11th grade - 17'7
12th grade - 18'3"

And here is Scott's year by year starting from freshman year:
9th grade - Unknown right now
10th grade - 16' 04"
11th grade - 17' 02" and still going
12th grade - Still to come

Maybe if he gets his standard back some and learns how to finish rolling poles...if you watch where he lands in his video of his 17'1" clearance, too close for comfort...IMO (based on stuff i've been told about standard placement etc)

I'm not sure if he can do it.... It doesn't seem as though he has the physical strength and height that Tommy Skipper has. Although I hope he surprises me and does it!

I think that is very possible. Didnt he have a 41'' push off on his 17' jump?

well we all know that 18'3'' is pretty darn high
for a high school kid but spencer's and scott's jumps
as sophomores are pretty damn impressive too. i
think both of them can be challenging the record as
seniors if they really want to...it's all about desire from here

It might be possible if they stay healthy throughout. The JR class record is 17'7 and he didn't jump that the next season because of injury. Skipper may have taken that record down though with 17'8

Tommy jumped 17-7.50 I believe (it was 17-7 and some change) to take the JR class record at the WA-OR meet of Champions.
