much needed help getting sharpie off cover

does anyone know how to get sharpie off the mat cover . some kids thought it would be cool to write on our cover. if anyone knows it would be really helpful. thanks

Ohh man :( I'm sorry I have no clue! I know how you feel though! We got a brand new pit (white one) and a kid signed his name on it with a sharpie! I've tried and tried, but It's not coming off :( Really makes you mad! Lance

It Dosn't, onna the rituals in our school is when ur a senior u put ur name and height on the pad. So far, we can see 5 years (which is when we started it) of names.

That blows....

if you really wanted to be mean, you could press charges for vandalism and make the person pay to have them repaired/replaced...

we don't get to write on our pit but the senior vaulters get to draw "tombstones" on the wall of our pit closet with sharpies.

There are lots of things to try...

Hair spray
Non acetone nail polish remover
Magic Eraser

The pump hairspray, even the cheapest stuff will remove sharpie marks. Neat little trick, works every time.

firewater, which is a surf wax remover. i used it to take off the wax on my surfboard and i found out that i was able to use it to take off like sticky residue from stickers and sharpie marks.
