I know how you feel, I tore ligaments in my ankle and was maybe going to be back by like next week. That isn't going to happen though, because I tried running a bit today and that didn't work out so well. It actually hurt like crazy. All I can say is time will tell what you can do. Time heals. I know that is exactly what you don't want to hear because it is what I am going through right now. I am also a senior and was hopeing to bump my school record up quite a bit more.

I know how much it sux to not be able to vault for a while....last year at conference i partially tore my left quad.....i still tried to vault at regionals the week after but i didnt do very well and i was not able to vault or run for like a month......so just let your injury heal even though its prob burning a hole inside you cause you want to vault so bad :( get better

For me, i did awsome for indoor, all-metro, all-state, all-everything pretty much. We had high expectations for me, cause i hadn't lost a meet for like 20 straight meets, and then at a relay, i fell in the box and i put my arm out, and all of a sudden i heard a pop. I popped it back in, and then took my next jump, in which it seperated AGAIN when i started to invert. So yeah...that was the end of my outdoor season, it sucks, but just ice and see ur trainer, u might be able to jump for championships.

I seperated my shoulder 2yrs ago. I did it snow boarding, so b/c it was winter I wasn't vaulting. It sucks for two weeks I wondered if I would ever be able to use my arm again. I would say it took about six week till I was near normal.

injuries really suck but the best thing you can do is make sure your shoulder is completely healed before you return to vaulting. good luck with your recovery!
