first of all, wish i had that problem lol...but it might help you to hollow out over the bar...that gives you like 4 extra inches of space if you werent already doing that (and it keeps your chest away from the bar)

And aroudn here in michigan in 3 years of high school track so far I have yet to be at a meet where a cross bar or bungee was put up in warm ups. And if that did happen id probably get annoyed (i dont swing up vaults in warm up) and 'accidently' knock it down
