Apparently everyone in the background has absolutly NO reaction time because they dont' seem to be phased by the loud noise!!!

They prolly hadn't reacted to it yet, i bet if u get the frame a lil afterwords ppl are ducking. Btw...has any1 ever lost an eye from breakin a pole, it seems like ppl get really lucky when it break. I broke it and got cut under my eye, my friend got cut above the eye, but i've never heard of anything IN the eye.

I hate to hear of any pole breaks..

I hate to hear of any pole breaks.. no matter the brand. This brand looks like it had hit the crossbar a few times and weakened the glass just below the vaulters handgrip.
One can jump all day and maybe not have aproblem then the right vibration, pressure, and boom it gives.
every meet I go to no one is catching the pole after clearance.
THese poles are made of glass we have to make sure we protect them.

So is it both possilbe to break a pole from jumping wrong and also just simple pole neglect.

I unfortuantly broke my first pole last night. It was very first personal pole too. I caught a lip on the plant box in mid stride, I caught the pole between the legs and snapped the top off on the cross bar. Did i mention it was in the dark? I hate poorly ran meets. I ran a Pr in the 100m dash 11.23!

It sucks losing your money pole.
