you could actually say 17 years since no one has broken Bubka's 6.06 from '88.

I dont know exactly what a perfect jump is but i consider it close to perfect if they are putting maximum energy into every detail of their jump. Bubka didnt and couldnt of he would of needed way bigger poles and they probably would of weighed too much or somethin... But he was a freak and jumped on huge poles which were normally too small for him. I dont know exactly what a perfect jump is but i can tell when there are energy leaks in jumps!

I dont know exactly what a perfect jump is but i can tell when there are energy leaks in jumps!
true there is no perfect energy transfer for the vault so a perfect vault can not exist.
If you cant do it right , do if 10000 more times till you can

I think todays perfect jump requires much more speed and strength then finess...

I've met a lot of 12' - 14' decathletes that were a lot stronger and faster than a lot of 15' and 16' vaulters I've known.

okert brits is also 6'6" and heavier than bubka, but its still crazy
