High School without pit
Hi i am a track representative for my school and we are currently looking for a new/used pit in good/decent condition. our funds are limited to around the $2500 mark but we can likely compromise. WE arent likely going to use the pit for meets so it does not have to meet standards we are focussing more merely for practicing purposes. Please email me at adrenaline3333@aol.com with any help/details etc. Thanks

yes i inquired about that pit but he doesnt seem to want to mess with shipping which i would be paying. i am hard pressed for time but i am trying to get a pit at all costs. Hopefully we can compromise and i also found another one in michigan but the freight is what stops people from selling theris i guess. .... Blake

Freight is going to be EXPENSIVE.
I would recommend calling all the high schools in the area and seeing if anyone knows anyone that has a pit to get rid of.
Also, getting extensions for an undersized pit won't be cheap either.

You know I was thinking. Why do you have to go get it? Is there any reason why one of your vaulters' Dads(or Moms for that matter) couldn't go get it? In Minnesota being a sports parent means being involved quite a bit. Ex: we have to man the concession stands, sometimes drive our atheletes to meets etc.do all sorts of stuff that costs us time and money. I bet if you asked, there would be a couple of vaultin' Dads (or Moms) with pickups that would that would make the drive to get the team a pit. Just a thought. Later.................Mike
Blue UCS pit
talked to the guys at UCS and they said a 24 foot Ryder truck is the way to go. Don't use U-haul as they are junk and measure from the top of the cargo area and not the bottom so they can use that little section over the cab that would be useless when transporting a pit. We have a blue UCS pit with a weather cover that will need a home since we are doing a fundraiser for new pits. I will send pics if you are interested.
