I LOVE the Hitchhiker's books. The movie looks pretty funny in the previews. Hopefully they didn't screw it up too bad :)

its this huge satire of the science-fiction genre...i love those books. i never got around to reading the last one though- Mostly Harmless

I agree, the hitchhiker books are some of the best I've ever read; and I've read a lot of books! I'm also worried though that they may screw the movie up really badly and put a bad impression on the books.

thats what happens with alot of books. they just can make good movies out of books it cant be done!

its almost as bad when people write movies into books...either way, it usually sucks...going from book to movie, you lose all the private thoughts, and a lot of the emotion...going from movie to book, again, missing that stuff, buts this time its because it wasn't there in the first place! Any time I've seen a movie turned book, it's like giving a play by play of the action and set movements a visual stuff...
