How did YOU do at Reno?
Since the results are still not posted, why don't you all post here and tell how you did
I cleared 11'0" to tie my lifetime PR. My teammate John Ryland was putting a lot of height over 14'7", but came down on the bar 3 times and NH'd.
The Lone Star kids did pretty well.
Laura Koenig - 10'8" season PR
Lauren Lucas 10'2"
Paige Wirth - 10'0"
Kaylea Box - 10'0" PR (she's only an 8th grader!)
Fidel Velazquez - 14'8" PR (not bad for a decathlete)
Dillard Glass - 11' something
Randy Nygerges - 9'6" PR
Texas State Vaulters
Blake Luther - 13' 1.50 I think
Robert Zetelski - NH
Jared Parker - NH
Michelle Wiesehan - 10'10" season PR
Bekah Vickers - 10'2"
Amy Stephens - 9'10"
Mady Stubbs - 9'6"
Incarnate Word Vaulters
Francisco Leon - 15'11"
Pedro Rodriguez - 13' 5ish

Re: How did YOU do at Reno?
I jumped 15-5 (4.70) along with my friend Steve in the open men competition on pit 9 @7:45.
Jumping at 7:45pm PST was a bit tough when you are used to it being 9:45pm and have been coaching all day. I was pretty happy with my perfomance.
On a better note, Alicia Rue, a HS girl I coach jumped a PR of 12-2.

I went 12 from 5 strides, and although that would put me 5th in the region in my state, i found out quick that its nothing in the west. It was sorta embarrassing to jump so low
I do need a bigger pole though... ill take that as some consolation
None the less, Reno was Amazing, Im already planing for next year

i only jumped 15 3, well below my PR, but i walked away with somethign positive from the meet.
i was also glad to meet becca
remember, it's only reno, it really doesn't matter much, only at the end of the year.

Kinda sucks...I was really sick on Saturday. I woke up with a congested chest, fever and chills, headache, cough, sore throat, dizziness (found this out when I was running)...just about everything that you could get when you really want to compete. So, I had to sit it out and instead watched some of the guys that I know compete before going home. Friday, however, was awesome! My group sent our packet in early so we had really good seats for the show (p6!!!) and that was amazing to watch. I'm really excited for season and practice to start up again in a week. I'm still getting over being sick, but I am really tired of the dead period (as mentioned in another post ).
I Prd as well. I jumped 9 feet. which has been my mental block height. so hopefully this will help me jump higher!
I loved reno! it was my first time going. It was awesome.
Pole vault city kids did really well.
Breaker-prd with 11!
Peepers- jumped 11'4 from 5 steps.
we had some guys pr too.
Nick-11'6
Riley-12'4
Tyler-11'6
Thomas-11'2.
So all together we jumped really really well!
