POLE VAULTERS ARE WILD & SO is BRUCE CALDWELL
Since 1966 I have pole vaulted, landed in sand, dirt, on the track, in shallow pits, and even no pit.
I have jumped through JR high, High school, College, Open, Masters, and then even the fat man PV at Earl Bells in 1995 jumped 6' SMILE
OK I HAVE wind surfed, bungee jumped, ultra light flown, I have even jumped out of perfectly good airplane.
A week ago Saturday I was walking yes; walking out of the grocery store and my ankle twisted in a very small crevice in the concrete.
The twisted ankle caused me to lose my balance and I fell all 280+lbs hard on the concrete and bounced LOL
I lost two perfectly good six packs of Smirnoff ICE, a party dish of fruit, and landed on my cell phone. GOODBYE CELL phone GRIN
After nursing this sprained ankle without drugs for a week now, I find today that It is not a sprain but a fracture. SO off to see the DR.
SORRY GUYS and I am sure some will be happy, I will not be at the ASTM meeting that I had flight and hotel reservations to attend.
38 years as a WILD pole vaulter with no injuries and I break my ankle walking!!!!!!!!
