There are some pretty big jumpers returning...Tony Little from Kent City, who jumped 14'6", a couple of guys from D-3 that are over 14...all with the possibility of doing well their senior years...so don't get ahead of yourselves...

I've always liked to remain unknown when it comes to competing. Then your competitors won't know what hit them, but most of the times they already know.

i agree pretty strongly with that, but around here when your jumping 14'+ everyone knows whats coming. I might be able to sit low for a while, i didnt get good until over the summer, but people tend to figure it out after a while.
What have you done today to get better?

yeah i know what you mean :P when you are jumping high its not only hard to stay low but its hrd not to be excited about it and want to tell people :D and zach i am going to be so ready for this season (if i dont get injured knock on wood) i am looking at some pretty big heights. but if i find out that all of my training and whatnot arent really doing anything for me you and everyone here will be the first to know. Hopefully i wont have my ego popped to much this season :dazed:

ok thought ofsomething that my coach told that makes me sound a little less cocky. If you dont think you can do something you never will. That is one of the reasons i think the way i think. i am still looking to see if there are any others. :P

To think or know you can do something is very important, but its not important to go around telling people that you will be jumping "big heights".

I'm just as guilty when it comes to that, but i've learned my lesson. Now i try to let my vaulting do the talking.

:D I was able to take advantage of the beautiful day we had today! I'm getting back into my rhythem. I had my little brother out there to keep me from turning into a head case. Worked out pretty good. He told me i sucked when i didn't hit my mid-mark and wouldn't take it up. Heck of a motivator!

Got a long way to go, but its good to be back on the runway atleast one last time before indoor.
