if you just got it, then you're not going to get it.

redshirting can be very useful. when i was a freshman i redshirted my outdoor season after some personal stuff happened and i needed to get away for a little bit. My pr at the time was 16'5. i took about a month of and then started training again, ended up jumping an unofficial 16'9 later on that spring (it was a practice meet, i know it doesn't count for prs, just illustrating the point that improvements were being made). The hardest part about redshirting is not losing focus. Its hard when u know you dont have a serious meet for another year to stay very focused. I redshirted indoors last year but thats because i cracked me femus, so i didnt gain much there.

Yeah right now im just getting worked hard my coaches, i got new pacer carbons which are freakin awesome they are tossin me over like 16 6 and im not even really coming off them right, it is hard though knowing that i dont have a season to get ready for cus its been like 6 years i have been competing str8 and its like now i have a year off of serious meets, but i think it will be for the best, just practicing and not having to worry about scoring points for my team, which will be fun. and ill compete in meets unnattatched, but im still going to miss seeing all the boys at the meets

yeah, those carbons are nice. apparently pacer is getting ready to release a new version of their carbon pole where they have cut off another 20% of the carry weight or so. its craziness.
