Also, if I make her upset, I get upset too, so I'd be in a bad mood in Reno and wouldn't vault well, because I only do well when I'm happy and nothing is bothering me

quite understandible...i guess they just don't make leashes long enough to go from MA to Reno :P

Lord of the Poles wrote:well, nevermind...as of right now I'm not going. Of course, like I figured, my girlfriend would say no to it because it clashes with school and she holds school higher than anything else.

She told me I have a choice if I want to go or not, but she told me if I chose to go she'd be mad at me...so how can I possibly choose to go if she'll be mad at me?

No offense, but she sounds more like your mama than a girlfriend :P . Tell her it is important to you and either come with you or get over it! If you contact your professors in advance and come back with assignments done and prepared for class, etc., you should be fine. Becca is right, you will miss the FIRST day of two different days of classes. What are they going to do....hand out the syllabus, tell you what book to buy, etc.? You are not married, it's your money, and you are old enough to make your own decisions :D
That's Jodie!!

A scripture that makes me think of all you girls and guys pole vaulting....

Habakkuk 3:19
The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to go on the heights.

Tell her you're not old enough to drink or gamble there, so you should be OK ;)

I would bring her, but, remember, she believes HIGHLY about school, and treats it higher than anything else. of course she'd say no if I asked her to come along, because even if she comes with me, it's still intefering with school...

seriously.. try to explain to her that you love pole vaulting as much as she does school. I mean you would never stop her from doing something she loves. now why should she? I mean... you want to go.. so GO!
