Both failed to qualify for the 100m. :deadrose:

I'm really sorry to hear that, I was hoping both could make it through.

makes you wonder? i don't think there's a whole lot to wonder about. it's sad the steroids are so prominent in track & field, but i guess in any sport when you reach a certain level it's next to impossible not to find steriod abuse.

You do have to consider the possibility that being pregnant for 9 months and having a baby and having to try to get back to Olympic level form might have had some effect on Marion....but not Tim :P Plus add four more years to her age...
That's Jodie!!

it was probably a relief to a lot of people that montgomery didnt advance due to his admitted use. i do think we should not jump on marion so quick though.

yeah but im relieved to see that great performances can still happen by clean athletes. Green, Stevenson etc.... I was wondering if anyone would ever go under 9,9 in the 100 or over 19-4 in the vault. Im really happy to see that great things are possible from hardwork
On a whole new level 6-20-09

i agree about the clean athletes.
on another note. i am a fan of mo green's antics. how does everyone else feel? while he definately isnt the greatest of all time in the entire sport he may be the greatest at 100 meters.

People do drugs in track and field? I thought it was the cleanest sport next to baseball? They could always deny that they took "banned" substances. . .then they wouldn't be dishonest. . .just benders of truth. Ever go to a doctor in Hollywood? All you have to do is say. . ."Geeeeeeze Doc, I"m feeling old. . . is there anything you can prescribe to me that might help me perfor. . . . I mean look younger." Muahahahaahaha

results always speak for themselves. It is hard to come back after having a baby but she does surround herself with a pretty guilty crowd.... the drug use has been around for a very long time. don't be naive about it. And there is alot of it on the high school level. I personally know 2 decathletes and one vaulter used "enhancers " all through high school... its too bad.
