for summer track at my school , there are some upcoming freshmen that wanna try pole vaulting, but we don't have a coach so i have to teach them. i've vaulted for 2 years but i was wondering what is like the basic order of things to teach.

I use a combination of progressions from Jan Johnson and Rick Attig to teach my kids.

Jan's Progression:

The biggest thing to remember is to not try to rush the kids through any of these to get them jumping. I never move a kid to the next drill until they have mastered the one they are working on, no matter how mundane or boring they think it is.
