Piotrik earned himself a trip to Athens at this meet. By meeting the Olympic "A" standard, he will now automatically go to the Olympics jumping for Denmark. Pete you da man.

is the olympic standard different than the u.s. "A" standard, cause i know that the US A standard is 5.70 (18 8).

The US 'A' standard is what you have to jump for USATF to pay for your trip to the Trials, which may or may not align with what A standard is for the Olympic Games.

In the past, the US standard was 5.75 (18'10.5") & the OG standard 5.60 (18'4.5").

also,some other countries don't have a trials. some just send their best athletes without having them in a championships.
i think before my days are done.
