the stiffer pole may help but remember that jumping up 10 pounds in stiffness is tough, unless you have used the other pole before, also just remember to stay tight with the pole up top because you may be flagging out up top(when you get away from your pole) and that would cause less of the handstand on the top of the poleand more of a flattening out.

i dont think there is a thing wrong with my plant or takeoff i think its when i get inverted i feel this sort of dead spot in the pole like it just cant push up my weight that fast like i need it too......so therefore this week im going to try to get on a 185 which im sure ill have no problem with after a few sl;ight adjustments
You must be jumping at least 19' then. C'mon be serious - anything wrong you do in the run will carry into the takeoff then to the swing and everything else.CHSVAULT wrote:i dont think there is a thing wrong with my plant or takeoff
Your takeoff might be too low or the pole might be too small. Its almost impossible to say without seeing you jump.

no one's plant and run is perfect, yeah he counts too. Planting without being tall ruins the timing of the entire jump. If the pole is bent too early (taking off under) it will recoil earlier, pulling you up from a lower height, and probably only after you have passed over the box. This causes your swing to fight against the pole, slowing the pole recoil down, while maintaining your horizontal speed. Pulling during takeoff can also cause this. I'm curious to know what you usually jump with your standards at and at what height you're usually at.
