need help getting from 14' pole to 15' pole

im having a problem moving to a bigger pole . right now i have been useing a 11'6" 130lb . But i have used a 130 14' a few times . Its really hard for me to get on it , I can only get like 9' 6" maybe 10' on my 11'6", I just want to be able to hold it far back that i can get bend out of it but im holding it to far down , but im getting 10' with the 14' pole.
