I have been struggling with getting a good pop off the top of the pole recently. I am not sure if the pole is too soft, if I am overgripping, or doing something else wrong. If anyone could give me any advice, it would be much appreciated. This is a recent practice where the bar is set at 14 ft.

Pole: 14'6 155
Grip: 13'6
Weight: 160
When I make a conscious effort to extend my arms, keep the trail leg back, and hold the take-off position for a tad longer, I blow through this pole with 13'6 grip. However, the next bigger pole is 15' 155 which is a little stiff for me. I have been trying to swing up as fast as possible on this pole in order to give myself as much of an advantage as possible, but I am totally lost when it comes to what I should be trying to do next.
Thanks,
Dave

You have a great take-off and your mark seems to be money. I notice that you don't really move your hands to much. I would try to move them forward more as you are swinging as it will allow you to keep pressure on the pole better which will be important on stiffer poles. I would also be more active with your hands at the top-end of your vault. You invert well but I think you should be a bit more active after you invert.
