Very nice! You have an incredible gift! What do you plan to do with this sculpture?

The finished piece.

- Here is the finished sculpture. I only have to add the granite base. I only made one copy so far. So unless I make more, this one will eventually be given to my son who is the vaulter depicted.

What happened to this project? Was it ever fully completed?

Re: PV sculpture
Yes, I got it finished and I'm real happy with the way it turned out. I was even able to incorporate Altius' suggestion to make it closer to technically correct. Thanks for you encouraging comments. Unfortunately, the topic won't let me post another image. Maybe some later time??

Re: PV sculpture
David,
Sure. I plan to make no more than 6 of this. But I should warn you that making one of these is pretty expensive. There is about 40 lbs of bronze, a fabricate and polished Granite base and about 40 hours of labor over 5-6 weeks to cast a piece, weld it, burnish it, patina it and mount it on the base. I would let the original one go for $3,500 and make another one for myself. If you have an interest, email me at gvotapka@gmail.com. I can send other photos for you to look at if you are serious.
