Mine is 13' from 3 lefts as a 40 yr old about 4 yrs ago. I have no clue how I did it. LOL After a practice one day Trey Bell and I got into a 3 left competition after most everyone had left. Things were really clicking that day for an old guy who's only exercise is jumping onto and across the pit to change standards. LOL ... AHHHHH the good old days. LOL
I cleared 10' from 3 lefts a few weeks ago. I picked up the pole, said "Quit being a wus". Then stutter stepping took a this is how you hit your takeoff jump.

LOL I got lucky. Even a blind hog can find an acorn once in a while.belmore wrote:Way to go Rusty, I would need at least a 14 stride run and a tap to clear 10 these days. Bobby Most cleared 15'6 from 3 strides in an AAU comp back when he was in high school, I believe it was 38 feet. I was extremely impressed..
That is impressive about Bobby, he is a great vaulter. Chase's is pretty good too but I don't remember off the top of my head. I'll ask him when I talk to him and post it. The other day, Mitch Greeley smoked 15' from 4 lefts... with his long pants rolled up, on a 13' 6" 195. LOL AWESOME SIGHT! We weren't working on his height, we were working on getting him a free take off and lining it up better on top.
