Soft side up or down in your vault approach?

No, when I take off the soft side faces me. As I drop the pole my left hand holds onto the pole and my right hand rotates around the pole. I jump at Vertical Assault right now so Mike might be able to explain my plant a little better. It's really just something that I've always done and has worked for me.

I have no idea where my soft side is when I am running. All I know is it faces the right way when I plant, and that is what matters

Kush uses his front hand as the main hand he holds onto the pole with. When he plants the pole rotates through his back/top hand. We (verticalassault) like to have the vaulter use the front hand as the fulcrum and the hand the pole rotates in. Thus doing a 180 during the plant action.

the side that bends inwards i think.. its the side that faces u when u plant adn jump..
