socks or no socks?

socks or no socks?
I just got the nike zoom lj spikes to pole vault in and was just wondering, do you use socks in competition or go bare foot?
I've heard you get more traction in your spikes going bare foot...and socks will make your spikes more snug.
Do you wear socks or not and why?

ya wat lori said. ur shoes smell when u dont wear socks.... never tried going barefoot actually. but one time i wore ankle socks and these spikes i had for xc. well around the heel area. like the back of my foot. it rubbed agaisnt the back of the spike adn it was rougth and it got cut. it hurt like a biotch when i ran after that. i coudlnt run without it hurting for like a month.. and that was cause i put cotton swabs on the back of all my shoes and stuff.
i run, therefore im buff.

i used to go bare foot then i started jumping in like 105 degree weather and my feet slid around in my spikes that are one size too small cause i like them tight. its all preference really. one way isn't going to make you jump better then another way. test both out and then decide.
