I came across this 15'6" Yellow Catapole as part of a bundle purchase from an area High School and I have no use for it.
It looks to be a decent pole but pretty old. The flex #is 6.8 and doesn't look sawed off or anything.
Fifty bucks.
Also have a green Catapole 580+ 15'6 if any collectors are interested. 170 as well but made on a huge mandrel. Pretty rare bird. Might just keep it for pole runs or wall plants.
Selling the following poles for an associate:
14'190 13.0 Pacer fx
14'180 14.7 pacer fx cut from bottom to 13'6"
14'185 14.0 pacer fx cut from bottom to 13'6"
etching indicates made in 2002. Good condition
$125 each
I am in Dallas Texas.

The 580 plus stood for 5.80 meters, the futuristic height to be achieved by the right vaulter on this latest and greatest pole in 1974.
The pole was made by Cata pole for a brief period of time and is long obsolete as a pole used by elite vaulters.

Yeah, it sort of blew my mind when I saw it. Included in the deal was a black catapole with a yellow label and a truly vintage blue sky pole. Both in surprisingly good condition.

The light blue Skypoles are great poles, Mark Hollis had one in his series in college, and I saw Nick Meyer jump well on them in Reno. If you send it to the Gill factory, they will recertify it and put a weight label on it to make it legal for HS.

Thanks Becca. Great suggestion.
Maybe Bruce at ESSX would do the same since he's close and I believe he designed it.?

Gill owns the Skypole brand so I think they are the only ones who can recertify them, though most officials probably won't know any different. I would contact Bruce for suggestions on the Catapoles.

The gold Catapole and the green 580+ survived the stress test like they just came out of the oven!
I took some video to prove it.
Just goes to show that with some care, poles will last for quite a while.
I'm sure there isn't much market for them but I'll take $50 each. Just trying to pay the light bill.
FYI the gold catapole does have a legible weight rating and band so legal for high school.
