Hurricane Sandy absolutely annihilated the Jersey Shore. Check out the shot of Seaside Heights, the exact spot where the Jersey Jumps Beach Vault happens each year. Seems fake, but it's not.

Hi Guys,
The Jersey Jumps Beach Vault WILL be held in 2013,
once-again in Seaside Heights, NJ. The event will be
held August 2-4 and has been Re-Named as the 2013
Vertical Adventures Beach Vault! The Co-Meet Directors
will once-again be myself & Bob Amos.

A former partner in the event has been spreading
misinformation & falsehoods in a misguided attempt
to harm the event, claiming the event is canceled.
Please disregard ALL other info unless you get it from

Any updates? I haven't seen any information on the site you provided. It might be best to spread the word soon with ipolevault.com stating that it's cancelled in their header.

The meet director (the original meet director) has sent out emails stating the event is on for 2013. It is supposed to be held the same weekend, the first weekend in August. He puts together events well but anyone familiar with his fliers, website, etc... knows he is horrible at promoting and so it can lead to confusion given the hurricane damage, etc.

To confirm the info I received in email was accurate, I checked the Seaside Heights city government webpage which has an events calendar showing all events for the summer. The beach vault is listed on that calendar on the same weekend that Mike (the promoter) claims it will occur. I also checked out updates on the boardwalk itself to see if anything was actually re-built and found a video on the city website showing a near fully completed brand new board walk and interviews with business owners showing they were ahead of schedule to be ready to go for the season by the end of May (just before Memorial Day weekend).

I have told our club that we will be attending the event as usual.

I just checked the website - it now has entry forms for the Beach Vault.

Awesome news the vault is back for 2013. I had such a good time the previous years. The boardwalk is back and it should be a lot of fun all three days! Can't wait!
