HEY HAD ANOTHER GOOD MEET THIS WEEKEND! I WENT FROM 6 LEFTS ON A 14 165 CARBON. HAD A 13-4ISH GRIP. THE LAST JUMP IS ON A 14-6 165 GRIPPING ABOUT 13-6. STANDARDS AT 24 ON ALL JUMPS.

Well it's tough to see in this video, but it looks like you've really improved your pole carry! Nice job!
Keep working your run back. Go from 7 lefts, then 8. Also, I think you're ready to raise your grip.
Technically, you need to practice "up pressure" with the bottom arm, post-takeoff. After you have hit the "elastic" position, with the left hand driectly over your head, punch the left hand straight up towards the bar, and swing hard. This will accelerate your swing and compress the pole in a way that will keep it rotating forward. As you get better at this, your hips will snap faster to the top, and the pole will move faster toward the back of the pit, forcing you to move up poles and raise your grip.
Keep up the good work! Your pole carry looks good, don't let it regress!

HEY THANKS! is there any gymnastics drills or any drills at all to practice for this? or just take full jumps and work on it?

Well you can work on your swing on a bar or rings, but "up pressure" is sort of unique to actual pole vaulting. One thing you can focus on while swinging on rings or bars is the hollow position you create with your shoulders by staying as extended as possible with your arms.

ok i am able to do giants on the high bars. should i just work alot on that feeling? thanks. possibly moving back to 7 lefts next week!
