hey,
Im a freshman this year and picked up pole vaulting this year ending the season with a PR of 9' Im using a 12' 150 lady rocket, gripping 10-7 to 10-11, running a five step. I weigh 146 and am 5"10. I really have a problem with swinging my legs and using the "Bubka" technique. Like many other out there im trying to get good at it because i love it! Im going to westpoint (USMA) polevault camp. I also am looking for a club or some more camps around my area (naples,fl) But whats a good way to be prepared for the season so i can get the height i want. If you give me a program or weekly schedule you guys are following would be awesome. I also would only have a few day acess to the pit. Diets or eating regiments are also helpful! Il try to get a video up for you guys so you could see what needs to be improved.
EDIT: Im not the fastest, and flex is at around 24.7 if i remember right.
Thanks,
Aaron

Just look through old posts in this forum there are a million on this topic. Pole vault as much as you can, supervised by a coach who knows what they are doing, that's the only way you'll get better at it.
I don't know anything about this club, or if they are even still in business, but google told me this was kind of in your neck of the woods: http://run.isport.com/running-teams/us/ ... ub-1120853
This club is in Tampa: http://www.leidelfitness.com/floridapol ... ademy.html
Here are USATF Clubs in Florida. Most of them won't have pole vault, but you can contact the ones near you and check: http://www.usatf.org/clubs/search/info. ... nNumber=14
