I noticed these two pole breaks at the world championships on fairly new looking carbon fx poles. Neither vaulter is sinking into the take off so I am wondering why the poles break. Are these Carbon weave poles or are they the new carbon non weave poles. I was going to buy some of the new non weave poles because I think gill makes the best poles but I don't want to jump on the weaves since they tend to break. I am hoping that these are weaves and the new carbon fx poles are made with the same solid design gill used to make. Does anyone else know if these poles are weaves or if they are the new non weaves?

From what I have heard they were both Weave poles, Not sure which generation of weave but I am sure they both were weaves, the new fx poles are going to be made the same as pre-weave fx poles only better since Gill has put so much into upgrading the manufacturing process trying to get the weaves where they wanted them, thus, now all their poles will be better.
