A scripture that makes me think of all you girls and guys pole vaulting....
Habakkuk 3:19
The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to go on the heights.

Yeah, I saw that. He is doing good. That was the last thing going in the summit and that was one of the better parts of it.

Hell, that WAS the best part of it for me! What could be more fun than bartending with Jan while drinking a Tecate, coaching Francisco, and watching the crowd go wild for Simon Arkell (the left handed world record holder at 5.80) attempting 4.60. Alongside on Pit 2 was Gary Hunter attempting a master's world record of 4.80m, and looking damn good doing it! Among the crowd was Dean and Jill Starkey, the Bell Athletics crew, Peter McGinnis, Jason Hinkin, official Anthony Curran and the No Limit crew, Skyjumpers crew, Lone Star crew, Pat Manson and Scott Huffman, John Besmer, Brooks Morris, Pete Kovacs. There was more energy in that room at 11:30 at night than there was during the entire elite competition.
